Clouds. Got to love em. They always add something more to a landscape and give it some interest. Without clouds you might as well crop the sky out of the photo.

I finally got to attend the Montaue Balloon Fair this past week-end. I have to admit it was a little disappointing. There we only about 15 balloons there and about 5 decided not to launch on Sunday morning because of the breeze. This is something (a balloon festival) I’ve wanted to attend for many years now and finally had the chance. I don’t know if this small turnout is normal or if the weather this past week-end played a part but I had expected to be able to photograph a sky full of the colorful balloons. Still I was happy to get the chance and will try to go again next year.

The new Shasta College University Center is open now and personally I think it looks nice. The word I hear from some of the long timers is they hate it. I think that goes more because it is so different from the old downtown look and some just don’t care for change. More will be changing in the downtown as always some will not be happy.
