Well October is an important month. Breast Cancer awareness and Think Pink in Shasta County. On 10/15 the Think Pink organization gave out their “bag-o-goodies” as they’ve been doing for a number of years now. In the bag this year was a “Think Pink” calendar and I had two photos (October 2009 and February 2010) in the calendar. Here is a photo that I took this last Sunday that may well be a nice one for next year’s version.

Cottonwood, CA. Who could know. Our own winery. I’m doing a project with some members of the photo club and we are shooting in Cottonwood. It was cool to find out that we have a winery here. I can’t wait to try their Merlot.

The theme was eyes. I wanted to get a young girl’s eyes or model’s. My baby said NO, not this time. So I went with the absolutely cool cat Glen and guess what? I won a ribbon and the member’s choice award. Often women know best.

Here is a group of musicians that I saw at the Ducky Derby last week. It reminded me of days past. Some things change but as they say there is nothing new under the sun. Not quite true any more but certainly not entirely false.
