Fountain in the Park

Here’s another view of the fountain in Lithia Park by Italian sculptor, A. Frilli in Florence, Italy. It stands about 10 feet tall and is pretty impressive. Another lovely feature of such a splendid park.

Mirror, Mirror

What’s not to like about a good reflection. Not that this is a good one but with the Fall colors I guess it’s not a real bad one.

That’s what I think of when I look at this images from the Japanese Gardens at Lithia Park. The great trees and shrubs in their Fall apparel at just magical looking.

Strange Fungus

Strange Fungus, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

One nice thing about being in a location that has a different climate zone (read more rainfall) than where you live is that you often find different flora than what you are used to. Here is an example with this strange looking fungus. Strange but cool.

Morning in the Park

Morning in the Park, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

I have to admit I don’t much care for getting up early any more but when I do with the camera it is usually worth it. Lithia Park in the morning in the Fall was very nice looking and it was really cold too. I’m always ready by the end of the summer to have the cold weather hit but of course it works way better when you are dressed correctly for it. My hands were too cold for the rist hour but then it was cool. Did get a chance to finally try out my new Scottevest hoodie. Nice.

Natural Palette

There are times. This is one of those times. I am just amazed at what is there for the shooting. Such amazing colors. Feels like someone painted this scene. Just this is one of the reasons I like Fall.

Moss in the Forest

Moss in the Forest, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

On our trip to Ashland last week we drove a little ways up a road till it went to dirt and there was a little dam and this big, old water tank. I loved the moss on this big tank. Moss is always nice as it’s a sign of moisture and when you live in a place that get’s over 110 degrees in the summer, moisture can be a nice thing.

Here is one that I like for the form. I really tweaked the sliders in HSL and while it’s not quite my usual I still like it somewhat.

Another one of those well designed features in the Park. Just so many park like water features and relaxing parts. I’m ready to head back.

Step Right Up

Step Right Up, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

This was an interesting image. It did remind me of one that I took 6 years ago. Not exactly the same but very similar. If I wasn’t having all the mobility issues I think I may worked on it a bit to see what I could do. But alas, I do have the current issues but don’t expect them to last. I am looking forward to my birthday next year as a very active one. We shall see.
