Finally got my “Bokeh Master Kit” on Friday. Gone for the weekend and wanted to get a chance to try it out so I put the paw on. This is going to be fun to use at the right times and in the right place. It does a nice job turning the bokeh into the shape of the cut-out. As usual the biggest detriment to my photography is the lack of time.

Here’s one with the”biggest” glass I have. Not great but ok for a quick Friday shoot at the river in a place that I ended up at.

Yesterday we had an off-site company meeting. It was good as always. We did a couple of team building deals and one was a treasure hunt / scavenger hunt exercise. We got to wear pirates hats and carry around a parrot on a stick. We had a list of 40 items that we were supposed to get pictures of like a fire truck, a stranger, a dog, a pink flamingo, etc. Each photo had to have at least one team member (there were 4 on each team) wearing the pirate (paper) hat and holding the parrot on a stick. We did this for an hour during a week day and downtown during this town’s rodeo week. I was a blast and the team I was on won. We found 39 of 40 items. A bear and a treasure chest were both on the list.

A shot with auto ISO that went to 6400. Kind of high.

Here we have some kind of blue colored bird. I wanted to see how a small crop looked. I used my 28 to 135mm zoom and it doesn’t look too bad for this crop.

It’s not too often that I can get a shot of Lucy. She seems to really be shy of the camera so when I get a chance I take it.
Well after a week of not being able to send directly from Flickr I tried the setup again. This time instead of an error it seemed to work. Let’s see!
Oh my, it worked! Sweet!

Today I was out with my fellow team mates working on the April Scavenger Hunt (portraits). We were on the group shot when I happened upon this here monkey hanging out. Thought he would make a good subject.

Thought I would do a 2 flash photo tonight using the IR remote and holding the cat. Everything went fairly well except that it was a 1 light shot. Found out the second flash works much better with the batteries. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
The Canon 430EX II was fired at 1/4 power with RadioPopper through an umbrella.

It’s amazing how our mostly white cat loves to find black clothes to lay on. Love that white cat hair.
Just the point and shoot tonight with crappy on camera flash. Couldn’t pass this photo op up.

Lucy just doesn’t like to get her picture taken. At least not by me with my flashing umbrella. When I try to take Lucy’s picture she just moves away and is obviously nervous about the whole affair. Tonight I hand held the camera with the Canon 430EX II on a stand with a shoot through umbrella. All fired with the JrX. Other than the shy model it works nicely.
