Here is a foggy one from fort point on the 20th anniversary of photoshop. I am using a trial version of Silver Effects Pro to see how I like it. And I do.

Saw the Dog Creek bridge for the first time earlier this year and have been waiting for the chance to get back with the camera. It turned out that we went in the afternoon right after the sun disappeared from the area. The light was pretty cool but no good sky to go with it. At the end of our time I pulled out the 50 and got this cool shot.

Crown Camera had their first of many(I hope) photo walks. I was glad to participate as I want to support the local camera stores to the best of my ability. Crown is unique in the great number of employees working there that know the photography business and share their knowledge with their customers.

Yes. Fall is coming. Well actually it is already here but I don’t really consider it really here till I start wearing long sleeve shirts. The leaves are still green for the most part but a nice rain last weekend has brightened the sky and cleaned the air. Anticipation is in the air!

The Sundial Bridge continues to be a place to go for shots when I don’t have time to travel very far. At night there are new possibilities that don’t exist in the day time. A less than cloudy sky can still provide a nice background when the time is night and the lights are on.

The Sundial Bridge in Redding offers a great spot to photograph persepective. This shot was taken on the museum side of the Sacramento river. Of course the defining piece of the bridge, the sundial, is not visible from this point. This shot represents when I first thought of trying to see the picture and not just take a bunch of snapshots.

The Sundial Bridge was build by architect Santiago Calatrava. Ground was broke in 1999 and the bridge was finished in 2004.
