Fireworks 3, originally uploaded by ronWLS.Like death and taxes the fireworks show always happens. Well usually. This year they didn’t happen till October 18 and I kind of liked it. Seemed like less people were present and it happened earlier in the evening that normal.

Talk like a pirate day! Well I did some of that today and lots of work today. We have a pirate theme at work so it seemed befitting to wear the garb. Hope everyone had a wonderful day and has a great weekend.

Well it’s finally here…Open Studio Tour 2007 for Shasta county. Displays have set up and matting has been done. Lots of printing also in a attempt to make it a great show for those that attend.

I finally got to attend the Montaue Balloon Fair this past week-end. I have to admit it was a little disappointing. There we only about 15 balloons there and about 5 decided not to launch on Sunday morning because of the breeze. This is something (a balloon festival) I’ve wanted to attend for many years now and finally had the chance. I don’t know if this small turnout is normal or if the weather this past week-end played a part but I had expected to be able to photograph a sky full of the colorful balloons. Still I was happy to get the chance and will try to go again next year.
