Redding Crew

Today I led a group photo walk. It was part of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk which he has organized the past 3 years. I’m glad that i did it. I wanted to do it last year but didn’t feel like I could but felt OK this year. I put together a route through downtown and in the process learned some of the local history.

Met some great people and hopefully some of us will see more of each other. I believe some will join the Shasta Photo Club. Anyways it was a great experience and I look forward to the next one.

365/126 – Really Post

OK. I’ve tried to refrain from this but it has to be done occasionally. I got a 3rd strobe and need to start working with it to see what I can do. Unfortunately I didn’t write down the lighting info and now I don’t remember all but I did have the 430EX II and reflective umbrella high camera right and the Vivatar and shoot thru umbrella low camera left fired with the optical slave. I had my new (old) promaster flash as a hair light with the Honl grid. This was fired with a Promaster module as a slave. The Canon strobe was fired with the RadioPopper JrX and the main light.
And Oh yeah. I used some Topaz Adjust and PS filters to try and pretty the portrait up. (ha! ha!)

365/125 – MarketFest

Here is one from Marketfest and the Zydeco band that played. I really didn’t like how it turned out so I used a photoshop artistic filter and give it the filmgrain effect.

Dancing Heals

Dancing Heals, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

There have already been some nice Marketfests this year as the weather has been cooler than normal. Most have been under 100 degrees which really rocks. The band last week was a Zydeco band so the music was sweet. Loved the back light on this happy dancer.

Coming home after a day (an hour or two) of clown marketing (standing on the side of the road). Nice clown colors.

The colors just kind of struck me this day looking out the office window.

The wonder of simple items to a baby is a wonder thing to observe. If we could only keep that ability as we grow up it would be an amazing thing.
