First of all I am going back in time with the numbering here as I have some how gotten off track. Since most of these go to my blog it seems to be a bit messy changing the name later so now I am back to the right number of shots, 64.
After listening to an all about flash podcast by lensflare35 and the Digital Experience group I wanted to try my honl snoot for the back lighting. I guess it turned out OK (but not great).
So here is the lighting:
Canon 430EX II high camera right fired @ 1/8 power through the shoot-thru umbrella with the RadioPopper JrX.
Vivitar @ 1/4 power fired with the Sonia optical slave through a Honl snoot. Post processing is with Silver Efex Pro.

Just as the title implies this was more light from behind. I was working on getting separation. I should have had my head more into the frame to see the full effect but it’s a start.
The key light is the 430EX II high camera right fired at 1/16 power with the RadioPopper JrX and the Vivitar fired at 1/2 behind subject left with optical slave.
Also a little post processing with Topaz Adjust to try and make me look a little better.

Got out for a short walk with the camera today. The sky was dark and stormy looking but no rain.
I used Silver Efex Pro in the post-processing to get this great holga looking photo.

I really need to get out tomorrow or have have something else to use as a model because I am getting tired of the same ole thing (me). At least my model is always nearby and it does give me the opportunity to see some of the effects of the Honl light modifiers. The lighting tonight was the Canon 430EX II fired @ 1/8 power with a RadioPopper JrX. I used the Honl system strap and snoot opened up as a reflector.

Here is a foggy one from fort point on the 20th anniversary of photoshop. I am using a trial version of Silver Effects Pro to see how I like it. And I do.

Here I used 2 lights. A bit more power than I like. At post I was looking through the Nik Color Efects trial that I am using and found this polaroid transfer effect that I like.

A little playing around in Camera Raw on this one. Taken with the wonderful 50mm. I was playing around with of the Adobe Camera Raw tools that I normally don’t touch.

The Lone Sailor at the north viewpoint overlooking the Golden Gate bridge. I did some post on this one. Did a smart-object and then made a copy to get some details in the shadows. Used mostly tools in Camera Raw.
