Another fun shot from my summer vacation and the great flight my friend took my on. Don’t remember what airport this was but there were a bunch of FedEx planes and a single DHL plane. It’s probably kind of close to the actual ratio of the 2 companies.
For some reason some of my previous photos that I’ve worked on from the flight didn’t get very good color IMO. I did an auto WB on this and it seems to be a bit better.

A shot from the photo walk in Redding. For the second year I was privileged to be a leader in Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. It’s a great experience and I’ve met some great photographers in the process.

Yzzie’s 1st birthday on Saturday. It all was a bit overwhelming to her but there were bright moments like when she got her new riding zebra.

I had to turn around and find a place to get a shot of this cloud. It was just too interesting to resist. I believe there were some thunderstorms this day as there often is over Mt Lassen.

OK. I’ve tried to refrain from this but it has to be done occasionally. I got a 3rd strobe and need to start working with it to see what I can do. Unfortunately I didn’t write down the lighting info and now I don’t remember all but I did have the 430EX II and reflective umbrella high camera right and the Vivatar and shoot thru umbrella low camera left fired with the optical slave. I had my new (old) promaster flash as a hair light with the Honl grid. This was fired with a Promaster module as a slave. The Canon strobe was fired with the RadioPopper JrX and the main light.
And Oh yeah. I used some Topaz Adjust and PS filters to try and pretty the portrait up. (ha! ha!)

Here is one from Marketfest and the Zydeco band that played. I really didn’t like how it turned out so I used a photoshop artistic filter and give it the filmgrain effect.

Here is my favorite set of siblings. A quick shot taken after a summer swim.
