We found these wonderful old olive trees in Gerber. Grafted from 100 year old trees they are like bonsai on steroids. Absolutely beautiful.

Here is one from Thursday at Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge. We were in San Francisco for Photoshop’s 20th Anniversary Party. It was cool to see the Photoshop Guys, Joe McNally and other recognizable industry figures.

Tamarac Reflection

As I get ready to try to do a year of blog posts and daily photos I realize I should also put a little more thought in the writing. At least some info on the shots and shoots. One thing I learned (or relearned) on the Tamarac shoot was be careful when trying new equipment or techniques. I tried using my friends Expodisc and most of my shots have bad WB. Of course shooting in RAW doesn’t prevent these from being easily fixed but getting it right in camera is so much better.

White Tree

White Tree, originally uploaded by ronWLS.

Went to Battle Creek at the end of Ball’s Ferry Road with some fellow Flickr folk. We hiked up a hill and walked to the creek. These great white trees were by the creek but I don’t even what kind of tree they are.
